QA Engineer
This is a remote position.
On behalf of our client, we are currently looking for a
QA Engineer to join a growing team focused on building secure and user-friendly digital identity and authorization solutions. The project includes mobile (Android & iOS) and web platforms, with an emphasis on manual testing and potential to contribute to test automation initiatives.
Youβll be part of a cross-functional team working on digital authentication applications used across Europe. Your main responsibilities will revolve around ensuring the quality of mobile and web applications by conducting thorough manual testing. While the role is primarily manual, we welcome interest and experience in automation, especially around tools like Appium or Playwright.
Responsibilities:
- Perform manual functional, regression, and exploratory testing on mobile (Android & iOS) and web applications;
- Design, write, and maintain clear and concise test cases based on product requirements;
- Log, track, and verify defects using industry-standard bug tracking tools;
- Collaborate closely with developers, designers, and product owners during sprints;
- Support release validation and post-release testing;
- Ensure usability, accessibility, and cross-device compatibility;
- (Optional) Contribute to automation initiatives depending on your interest and skill set.
Requirements
- Solid experience in manual testing of mobile applications (Android and iOS);
- Experience with web application testing;
- Ability to create comprehensive test scenarios and test documentation;
- Familiarity with authentication flows and identity verification concepts;
- Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail;
- Experience with issue tracking and test case management tools.
- German language skills (minimum B2 level):
- English language skills (minimum B2 level).
Nice to Have:
- Knowledge of mobile accessibility testing;
- Experience with automation tools:
- Playwright (web automation);
- Appium (mobile automation);
- Postman or Bruno (API testing);
- Understanding of mobile security principles;
- Experience with biometric authentication testing.
