About the role:

As a QA Lead at BR-DGE, you will be responsible for defining and implementing the quality assurance strategy across BR-DGE's payment orchestration platform. You will lead a team of QA engineers, collaborate closely with Engineering Managers, Product Owners and Engineers to ensure robust testing processes are integrated throughout the SDLC. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented leader with experience in driving quality across software engineering & product delivery and a deep understanding of both manual and automated testing strategies.

What you’ll be doing:

• Ownership of QA function that is accountable for ensuring the quality of the BR-DGE product
• Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers to deliver best practices in quality engineering across the engineering function
• Define and implement QA strategy to drive delivery of test plans, and test cases for new and existing products.
• Oversee all aspects of quality assurance, including functional, integration, regression, performance, and security testing.
• Provide external UAT testing functionality for BR-DGE customers to validate integrations
• Collaborate with Product, Development, Platform and Compliance teams to ensure quality is embedded early and throughout the development cycle
• Establish and monitor observability tooling to track quality trends and drive continuous improvement.
• Implement and maintain automated functional and non functional testing frameworks for API, UI, and backend services.
• Working with Platform and Engineering to ensure quality validation is integrated with CI/CD pipelines
• Implement and manage frameworks for managing test data.
• Establish exploratory testing patterns
• Implement testing strategies that align with ensuring BR-DGE maintains compliance with industry regulations and standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, SOC 2, ISO 27001).
• Support and contribute to incident reviews to identify learnings and improvement from issues in the QA space

What we’re looking for:

• Exceptional understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes and experience in implementing these in a fast pace of delivery environment
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Gatling, Selenium, Cypress, Postman, JUnit, Cucumber etc.).
• Hands-on experience with performance testing tooling for both API and UI integrations
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Github Actions).
• Experience with API testing and tools like Swagger and Postman
• Familiarity with containerisation and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with Java, Spring Boot and Javascript technologies
  
  

What would be great to have:

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Knowledge of compliance standards relevant to payments industry (e.g., PCI-DSS, SOC2).
