QA Lead - BSS Backend Development Section, BSS Development Department (BSDD)

Department Overview 

The responsibility of BSS Development Department (BSDD) is development of BSS software and making sure delivery of requirements from business teams. 

Responsibility of BSS Backend development team is to align with other parallel teams in BSDD and focus on development of BSS platform and make sure the delivery of quality product with continuous improvement in productivity. Goal is also to work together with other departments to understand, enrich & ensure the delivery of business requirements and technical improvements. 

Position: 

Position Details 

We are looking for QA Lead professional with experience range 8-10 years who can lead the functional testing team, actively involved in creation of test scenarios and test cases. Involve in design and develop test automation solutions. 
Key Responsibilities: 

- Building test plans, test suites, and manual or automated test cases for assigned changes 

- Lead the functional testing team, actively involved in creation of test scenarios and test cases for different microservices according to functional requirements and business specifications 

- Design and develop test automation solutions using Rest Assured / Selenium, and other technologies determined to best suit our needs 

- Maintaining Regression Suite while carrying out Regression testing 

- Work closely with BA, developers, QA teams as well as stakeholders 

- Responsible for defect tracking and defect reporting 

- As a member of the agile team participated in daily stand-up meetings, project status meetings as well as retrospective meetings and iteration reviews 

- Maintain traceability matrix for your functional testing team 

Mandatory Qualifications: 

- 8+ years of experience testing of Web Application  

- 2+ years of experience in leading quality engineering teams, in a highly hands-on role
- Solid understanding of development lifecycles, testing methodologies, and QA processes 
Technical skill: 

- Experience on Test Management tool like Jira with X-Ray Plugin 

- Experience with Git and continuous integration build system such as Jenkins 

- Hands on experience on automated Performance and load testing using JMETER 

- Experience with automation scripts using tools like, Rest Assured, Selenium WebDriver, Appium, Jasmine, TestNG 

- Work in an agile development environment, collaborating with the Engineering and Product teams to deliver quality software iteratively 

- Develop and maintain test automation processes in alignment with the project standards 

Desired Qualifications: 
- Experience on API Testing using Postman and other similar tools 

- Solid Experience on writing test cases, scenarios, preparing test plans, estimation, testing (functional, Integration, System, UAT) Defect Management  

- Knowledge on Security Testing, Compatibility test, Scalability test, Availability test, Reliability test, Browser testing, API testing, Database Testing 

- Exposure to Couchbase DB and Elastic DB (or any NoSQL)
