Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced QA Manager with a strong background in quality engineering, automation strategy, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will drive the overall quality vision, strategy, and execution across our product. This role is responsible for building and leading high-performing QA teams, establishing scalable testing processes, and ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability standards are consistently met.Â
As a QA Manager, you’ll define quality objectives, oversee test automation and manual testing efforts, and partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, and DevOps to deliver high-quality releases. You will champion continuous improvement, foster a culture of accountability and excellence, and ensure quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle. Â
This role requires 2 days per week onsite at our office in Chanhassen, MN.Â
What You'll Get to Do
- Define and execute the overall QA strategy, roadmap, and quality metrics aligned with business goals.Â
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of QA engineers, fostering technical excellence and career development.Â
- Establish scalable test automation frameworks, processes, and standards across functional, performance, and scalable testing.Â
- Oversee the development and execution of comprehensive test strategies and test plans for all releases. Â
- Ensure test infrastructure and environments are reliable, scalable, and optimized for efficient execution.Â
- Partner with Engineering and Product leadership to define acceptance criteria, identify risks, and ensure adequate test coverage. Â
- Leverage AI-assisted development and quality tools to enhance team productivity, improve test strategy design, accelerate defect triage, and continuously optimize QA processes.Â
- Drive integration of automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to enable high-confidence, rapid releases.Â
- Monitor and report on quality metrics, defect trends, release readiness, and overall product health. Â
- Lead root cause analysis efforts and implement preventive quality measures. Â
- Evaluate and recommend modern tools, including AI-driven test generation, intelligent automation platforms, and quality analytics solutions, to continuously improve QA efficiency, effectiveness, and engineering velocity. Establish and enforce quality standards, governance processes, and release criteria. Â
- Support production readiness activities, incident reviews, and post-release validation when necessary. Â
- Other duties as assigned.Â
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management roleÂ
- Strong background in test automation frameworks and modern quality engineering practices. Â
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as C#, Python, or JavaÂ
- Hands on experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelinesÂ
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage performance, and drive continuous improvement initiativesÂ
- Experience defining quality metrics and reporting at leadership levelsÂ
- Experience working in a Scrum/Agile development environment Â
- Experience leveraging AI-assisted development and testing tools to improve test coverage, accelerate defect triage, and enhance engineering productivityÂ
- Experience developing risk-based testing strategies that prioritize coverage based on system criticality, usage patterns, and business impactÂ
- Familiarity with production observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog, New Relic, Splunk) to support incident analysis and quality insightsÂ
