QA Test Lead β Life & Disability (Benefit Administration)
The Client
- The Client is seeking an experienced QA Test Lead with strong domain expertise in Life & Disability Insurance and hands-on experience in end-to-end implementation of Benefit Administration modules.Β
- The ideal candidate will lead QA efforts, manage test strategy, and ensure high-quality delivery across system implementations, enhancements, and data/system conversions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage QA activities across the full project lifecycle.
- Define and implement comprehensive test strategy, test plans, and test cases.
- Drive end-to-end testing for Benefit Administration module implementations.
- Plan and execute testing for data/system conversion activities, including validation of migrated data and reconciliation across legacy and target systems.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and stakeholders to validate requirements.
- Perform Functional, System, Integration, Regression, and UAT support testing.
- Ensure validation of eligibility, enrollment, billing, claims, and policy administration workflows.
- Review requirements and identify gaps, ambiguities, and risk areas.
- Track defects, manage defect triage meetings, and ensure timely resolution.
- Mentor and guide QA team members.
- Ensure adherence to QA best practices, processes, and documentation standards.
- Support automation initiatives where applicable.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of QA experience with at least 2+ years in a QA Lead role.
- Strong domain experience in Life & Disability Insurance.
- Hands-on experience in Benefit Administration module end-to-end implementation.
- Experience in test planning and execution for system/data conversion projects.
- Experience validating:
- Eligibility & Enrollment
- Premium calculation
- Billing & Payment processing
- Claims integration
- Policy lifecycle management
- Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
- Experience in writing SQL queries for backend validation.
- Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Life & Disability platforms such as Majesco, FINEOS, or similar systems.
- Automation testing experience (Selenium, Cypress, or similar tools).
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Experience in data migration and integration testing.
- Knowledge of API testing (Postman/Swagger).
