Job Description

Position Summary:

The manager of Regulatory Affairs & Quality AssuranceΒ is responsible forΒ ensuring that all feed ingredients and nutrition solutions are fully compliant with both global and local feed regulations.Β 

Main accountabilities:

Regulatory Affairs (RA)

  • Lead the regulatory strategy for feed ingredients in major markets including China, SSEA, the EU, the US, and other export destinations, ensuring adherence to feed laws, additive regulations, and import/export requirements.
  • Provide regulatory guidance to R&D, Product Management, Sales, and Marketing teams throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Oversee product registration, dossier preparation, notification, and approval processes for feed materials and feed additives.
  • Act as the primary liaison for regulatory authorities, industry associations, and external consultants.
  • Monitor regulatory changes, such as updates to the EU Feed Catalogue and Chinese MOA/MARA rules, and proactively assess their business impact.

Quality Assurance (QA)

  • Support for RD in ensuring QA/RA involvement throughout product development and preparing the dossier for handover to production sites.
  • Establish, maintain, and drive continuous improvement of the Quality Management System in alignment with GMP+, FAMI-QS, ISO, HACCP, and feed safety requirements.
  • Ensure compliance across all manufacturing sites, tollers, and suppliers, including the qualification of raw materials and effective risk management.
  • Oversee product quality standards, manage deviations, handle CAPAs, address complaints, and coordinate recall management.
  • Ensure traceability, documentation control, and data integrity throughout the supply chain.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with other Quality teams within LDC, as well as with R&D, Operations, Procurement, Logistics, and Commercial teams, to support business growth and manage compliance risks.
  • Support new product launches, line extensions, and manufacturing scale-up initiatives from both quality and regulatory perspectives.
  • Contribute to corporate governance, risk management, and sustainability initiatives as they relate to feed safety and compliance.

Qualifications

Β 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Animal Nutrition, Food/Feed Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Regulatory Affairs and/or Quality Assurance within the feed ingredients, animal nutrition, or food industry.
  • Strong knowledge of feed regulations (EU, China, US), GMP+, FAMI-QS, HACCP, and supplier quality management.
  • Proven experience in leading audits, managing regulatory submissions, and engaging with regulatory authorities.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and the capability to influence across regional or global teams.
