Senior Automation QA Engineer

Ciklum is looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our team full-time in Ukraine.

About the role:
As a Senior QA Automation Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow. Together, we will work on a modern, business-critical solution for an existing client, applying best testing practices, taking ownership of quality, and contributing to stable, scalable product delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Automation of regression and other functional testing on UI and backend

• Building and maintaining automated testing frameworks

• Integrating automated testing into CI processes

• Adjusting test cases to support automation needs

• Preparing test data and test environments

• Performing manual testing activities within a Scrum team, including test case creation using different test design techniques, execution, and defect reporting

• Preparing test reports and clearly communicating results to stakeholders

• Analyzing product stability and reporting conclusions on quality status

• Working on multiple projects when required and communicating closely with developers and project managers

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in API automation using REST Assured or similar tools

• Experience in creating automation frameworks from scratch

• 4+ years of professional experience in QA automation of web products using Selenium WebDriver and supporting frameworks

• Strong skills in Java and object-oriented programming

• Experience with TypeScript and Playwright

• Experience implementing automated testing at project and system levels

• Experience with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, or similar

• Experience working with version control systems such as Git

• In-depth knowledge of test automation approaches and procedures

• Strong understanding of testing methods, techniques, and types

• Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field

• Upper-Intermediate level of English or higher

Desirable:

• Experience with API test automation for microservices-based applications

• Knowledge of BDD approaches such as Cucumber

• Knowledge of programming languages such as Java or Python

• Experience with React

• Good knowledge of SQL, PostgreSQL, or similar databases

• Hands-on experience with Docker

• Basic knowledge of AWS services
