Senior/Lead QA Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Manual QA Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in manual testing, test management, requirements analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. You will be responsible for ensuring product quality by designing, executing, and maintaining test cases.

 

Key Responsibilities:

● Analyze business requirements, technical specifications, and UI/UX documents to create
effective test plans and test cases.
● Perform Functional, Regression, Integration, System, Sanity, and End-to-End testing
● Execute test cases, track defects, and collaborate with developers for timely resolution.
● Prepare and maintain test documentation including Test Plans, Test Cases, Test
● Summary Reports, and Traceability Matrix (RTM).

● Perform API testing using tools like Postman (Basic to Intermediate).
● Review test cases prepared by team members and ensure high-quality coverage.
● Participate in Agile ceremonies – Sprint Planning, Scrum Meetings, and Retrospectives.
● Mentor junior QA members and ensure adherence to QA processes and standards.
● Provide regular status reports and ensure timely delivery of testing milestones.
● Work closely with Product, Development, and Business Teams to understand quality
expectations.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

● Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
● 8–10 years of hands-on experience in Manual Testing.
● Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile & Scrum methodologies.
● Expertise in designing and executing comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
● Proficiency in Defect Tracking Tools: JIRA, Bugzilla, Azure DevOps, Mantis, or similar.
● Experience with Test Management Tools: TestRail, Zephyr, QTest.
● Good knowledge of SQL for backend/database testing (Intermediate/Advanced).
● Basic understanding of API testing (Postman).
● Experience in mobile application testing (Android/iOS) is an added advantage.
● Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
