Senior QA Engineer

IDC is looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our both client facing and internal applications. This position is key to maintaining high standards in tools like Knowledge Platform, which is public facing tool essential for releasing our data.

Beyond these, the QA Engineer will also work on other tools, which will be under maitenance of Maintenance team. The role involves writing automation tests to accelerate development and improve efficiency. Additionally, this person will act as a bridge between development, business, and product management, ensuring smooth communication and alignment across teams.

• Daily manual testing of mentioned tools
• Plan regression testing and perform it
• Writing of UI automation tests (Selenium, Selenide)
• Manage test cases in Zephyr
• Summarize and document found bugs in JIRA
• Communication with PM and business to clarify requirements and changes
• Mentor and coach junior/experienced QA engineers
• Promote QA standards and methodologies, ensuring consistency across teams/ Contribute to process improvements
• Define and evolve the test strategy for projects/products.
• Improve testing frameworks, tools, and pipelines
• Make sure performance, security, and usability testing are not overlooked.
• Lead test automation architecture decisions.

• 5+ years of experience in software testing
• Strong experience in manual and automated testing
• Proficiency in test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Selenide)
• Knowledge of programming languages for test automation (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript)
• Knowledge of database querying (SQL)
• Familiarity with performance, security testing, API testing (preferred)
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (preferred)
• Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail) (preferred)
