(Senior) Software QA Automation Engineer (gn) - Thailand-based

🤩 What will you do

• Spearhead the establishment and documentation of automation-driven QA standards and procedures throughout our development cycles

• Work hand-in-hand with software developers and product managers to design clear, effective, and automation-ready test cases aligned with software requirements

• Execute comprehensive manual, automated, end-to-end (E2E), and user acceptance tests (UAT) to validate that the software meets all design specs and business needs, ensuring seamless system flow and excellent user experience

• Engage actively in agile/scrum meetings, refining automation and testing strategies as projects evolve

• Build, maintain, and optimize automated test scripts, frameworks, and tools to streamline testing processes and increase coverage

• Implement and monitor key QA and automation metrics to assess testing effectiveness and software quality, providing regular updates to the team

• Curate and manage a repository of automated test scripts, files, tools, and documentation to support QA activities

3 Months

• You understand the use cases and challenges of Ingestro’s products

• You keep our testing arsenal up-to-date by documenting automation-focused test cases, plans, and results

• You work closely with stakeholders to clarify requirements, identify automation opportunities, and maintain product quality

6 Months

• You oversee the bug-tracking system, ensuring issues are quickly identified, logged, prioritized, resolved, and, in the futur,e prevented

• You define and track meaningful automation and quality metrics to evaluate software health

• You adopt automation tools and frameworks, reducing manual workload and broadening testing scope

12 Months

• You develop and implement standardized QA automation processes tailored to Ingestro’s development cycles

• You create comprehensive automated test suites covering functionality, performance, security, and usability

🔎 What are we looking for?

• 3+ years of proven experience in QA Automation, with strong knowledge of testing principles, methodologies, and best practices

• Fundamental knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript

• Proficiency with Cypress or Playwright for automated E2E tests, and experience with Jest for unit testing

• Skilled usage of Postman for backend API testing

• Knowledge of CI/CD and the ability to set up automated QA pipelines

• Strong communication skills, demonstrated by clear articulation in English

• Based in Chiang Mai, Thailand, or open to relocation

Nice-to-have

• Knowledge of React
