Senior Software Tester ( Team Leader)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Tester to establish and lead the software testing function within the financial services technology team. This is a key role for a seasoned QA leader who will define testing strategies, set up scalable processes, and build a high-performing QA team to ensure the quality, reliability, and security of the wealth management platforms.

• Testing Strategy & Framework: Define, implement, and maintain the overall software testing strategy, framework, and quality standards.

• Team Leadership: Build and manage the software testing team, including recruitment, mentoring, and performance management.

• Collaboration: Work closely with development teams, product managers, and business stakeholders to align on quality objectives and deliverables.

• Test Design & Execution: Design, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for both manual and automated testing.

• Defect Management: Execute manual test cases, log defects with clarity and accuracy, and support effective defect triage.

• Automation: Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts and frameworks for regression, functional, and performance testing.

• Tools & Technologies: Evaluate, select, and implement appropriate testing tools and technologies to optimize quality assurance.

• Continuous Improvement: Drive best practices and continuous improvement in testing methodologies, processes, and coverage.

• Documentation & Reporting: Ensure thorough documentation of testing procedures, results, and maintain visibility into test coverage, defect trends, and quality KPIs.

• Quality Advocacy: Champion quality across the software development lifecycle, promoting a strong quality culture within the organization.

Experience:

• Experience in Agile development and delivery.

• Proficiency with Azure DevOps (or similar tools) and CI/CD pipeline implementations.

• Hands-on experience with software test automation tools and frameworks.

• Working knowledge of SQL (any dialect is advantageous).

• Exposure to the financial services sector (beneficial).

• Basic understanding or experience with C# (or a similar programming language).

• Management/leadership experience

Qualifications:

• BSc IT / BCom IT (or equivalent) – beneficial academic background

• ISTQB Agile Foundation certified

• ISTQB Advanced certification

• Degree
