Avarint is seeking a Senior Test Manager to support an experimental team conducting Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) at Dugway Proving Ground, UT. Primary duties will include:
· Leading multi-disciplinary teams of scientists, engineers, and technicians in the planning and execution of complex RDT&E and training programs.
· Providing technical expertise and support to the development of technical approaches, test and training plans, test procedures, cost estimates, program schedules, and test equipment.
· Reviewing and continuously improving the QA/QC program to ensure that all reported data is accurate, complete, reliable and of high-confidence.
· Serving as the primary contact with customers coordinating plans, statements of work, and operating budgets.
· Maintaining a safe laboratory work environment in accordance with all documented laboratory procedures.
The position also requires that the selected candidate possesses:
· Past experience with hands-on laboratory work, preferably in the chemical and/or biological defense area.
· Extensive knowledge project management and be able to apply knowledge to solve complex problems.
· Excellent organizational skills and communication skills (oral and written) and the ability to appropriately communicate with colleagues, management and clients to plan and execute duties.
· Deep attention to detail and the flexibility and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Minimum Qualifications:
· B.S. in an applied science, engineering discipline, or business.
· A minimum of five (5) years of project/program management experience with DoD contracts, preferably in the area of chemical and biological defense; with supervisory experience.
· Experience identifying customer requirements, developing cost-effective solutions, and leading proposal efforts (developing technical approaches, cost estimates and program schedules).
· Experience with the development of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and monitoring program execution (cost, schedule, performance) through earned value management principles.
· Experience with Microsoft Office software including MS Project, Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
Special Requirements:
Must be able to obtain and remain eligible for a US Department of Defense security clearance during the course of employment. Candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS ARE DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:
· An active DoD Secret security clearance (TS).
· Experience with Microsoft Office software (Access, SharePoint and Teams).
