AsΒ a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) you will haveΒ a robust knowledge of payment standards like ISO20022, SWIFT, SEPA, etc. and extensive experience in API automation with both SOAP and REST services.Β This role requires being customer-facing and providing Eastern time zone hours coverage.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and execute automated tests for API services (SOAP & REST).
Analyze payment messaging formats (e.g., ISO 20022, SWIFT) and validate compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
Work directly with client stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into automated test scenarios.
Configure PGP keys, authorization certificates, etc
Set up authentication mechanism like OAuth 2.0, Mutual TLS, etc
Configure call back url
Reporting of overall status to customer, log management and transaction reconciliation
Collaborate with development and QA teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
Identify opportunities for improving test coverage, test effectiveness, and overall automation strategy.
Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and customer demos within EST business hours.
Job Requirements and Preferred Skills:
Must be comfortable working in EST time zone and interfacing with customers.
5+ years of experience in automation engineering, with a focus on API testing.
Strong understanding of payment systems and standards (ISO 20022, SWIFT, SEPA, etc.).
Hands-on experience with tools like Postman, SoapUI, RestAssured, or similar.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements in financial services.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
