ABOUT THIS POSITION

As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), you will join an established, cross-functional product development team responsible for delivering high-quality software and data to our clients. You will own both automated and manual testing efforts across multiple products, partnering closely with engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on autonomy, values clear communication, and is excited to use AI as a force multiplier to design thoughtful test strategies and robust automated solutions. Youโ€™ll be trusted to manage your work independently while proactively sharing risks, insights, and opportunities for improvement with the team.

You will act as a quality champion, helping embed quality practices early in the development lifecycle and coaching others on modern testing and quality engineering best practices.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

What You Will Doย 

As an SDET on the team, you will:ย 

  • Design, implement, andย maintainย complex automated testsย (end-to-end, performance, load, scalability, and security) using tools such as Playwright and/or Seleniumย 

  • Leverage AI toolsย to:ย ย 

  • Create and refine test plans and test strategiesย 

  • Accelerate automated test creation and maintenanceย 

  • Analyze test results andย identifyย coverage gapsย 

  • Generate realistic and meaningful test data scenariosย 

  • Take ownership of testing efforts for assigned products, managing your workย autonomouslyย while communicating progress, risks, and blockers earlyย 

  • Collaborate closely withย engineering, product, and business partnersย to understand requirements, architecture, and desired outcomesย 

  • Champion a โ€œquality-from-the-startโ€ mindset by influencing design discussions, acceptance criteria, and release readinessย 

  • Set and help driveย clear quality expectationsย for each product releaseย 

  • Document, track, andย validateย defects through resolutionย 

  • Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and frameworks that strengthen quality across the team and organizationย 

  • Contribute positively to team culture by beingย kind, collaborative, curious, and engagedย in your workย 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

What You Will Needย 

Minimumย Requirementsย 

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Scienceย or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)ย 

  • 3+ years of professional experienceย as an SDETย designing, developing, andย maintainingย full-stack test automationย for modern web applications and microservicesย 

  • Hands-on experience withย Playwright and/or Seleniumย for end-to-end testingย 

  • Strong programming skills inย C#ย 

  • Intermediateย proficiencyย withย SQLย 

  • Experience working withย CI/CD pipelinesย 

  • Experience usingย Jira and/or Azure DevOps (ADO)ย to support agile project management, sprint work, and defect trackingย 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain risks, findings, and recommendationsย
