Job Title:Β Software Tester/QA Analyst


Location: Richmond, VA

Type: Contract, Hybrid (2-3 days/week)


On behalf of our client, we are seeking a qualified Sr. Software Tester/QA Analyst who works well with teams andΒ have excellent communicator with the ability to deal effectively with the functional and non-functional teams within IT Services as well as business users. The Senior Test Analyst will also co-ordinate UAT users and assist in the preparation of UAT test scripts. The ability to work within and contribute to a team environment and build and maintain effective working relationships with customers, users and colleagues.



Responsibilities:

  • ISEB / ISTQB qualification in Software Testing to practitioner level or equivalent qualifications or experience.
  • Gather requirements from the Business Analyst to understand the project, analyze requirements, identify gaps in the requirements, skill sets required and provide LOE
  • Test the defect and update the status, conduct root cause analysis of the defects logged and assist developers in recreating bugs
  • Provide Test Scenarios/ Cases walkthrough and seek customer sign off inclusive of Prioritization of Test cases, Optimization options
  • Proficiency in implementing and executing testing strategies, plans, methodologies and frameworks in support of Agile development



Qualifications:

  • Experience of using test management/ Version Control tools (Azure DevOps/ TFS/ Git) and extensive experience writing test cases in Gherkin.
  • Proficiency in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, XML,
  • Experience working in Window and Linux environment
  • A thorough understanding of risk-based testing
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and verbal communication skills are necessary due to the dynamic nature of collaborations with engineering teams and solving complex system problems together
  • The ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels in both verbal and written communications
  • Experience in reviewing metrics to identify areas for process optimization, Conduct dry run/smoke testing to ensure scripts readiness and Execute automation scripts
  • Knowledge of programming language e.g. Ruby, Java OR Python
  • Experience in writing Complex SQL queries for Creating and Maintenance of test data to support automation testing and Business users
