'The Division:
CalcAir is part of the Perseus Operating Group of Constellation Software Inc. Perseus is home to dozens of industry-leading vertical market software companies and has over 30 years of experience building and scaling software businesses. There will be no changes to pricing, software functionality, or customer service personnel in connection with the foregoing.
The Position:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented SQA Analyst with actuarial experience to join our research and development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both QA methodologies and actuarial science, ensuring our software meets the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
The selected individual will work in the Contour Software Karachi/Lahore/Islamabad office, working as part of the resource-center team, as an extension of the onshore R&D team.
Key Responsibilities:
β€’ Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for actuarial software written in VB.Net.
β€’ Collaborate with the development team to understand software requirements and design specifications.
β€’ Perform functional, regression, and performance testing to identify and document software defects.
β€’ Validate actuarial calculations and ensure the accuracy of financial models within the software.
β€’ Work closely with actuaries and developers to resolve issues and improve software quality.
β€’ Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on software design and implementation.
β€’ Maintain and update QA documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
β€’ Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging trends in QA and actuarial science.
Qualifications:
β€’ Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
β€’ 2-5 years proven experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on actuarial software.
β€’ Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
β€’ Proficiency in APL programming language.
β€’ Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
β€’ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
β€’ Strong communication and collaboration skills.
β€’ Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality software.
