The organization operates fully remotely and brings together a distributed team working across multiple time zones. This position oversees the quality assurance function for a microservices-driven visualization platform built on containerized deployments. The system integrates GraphQL and binary communication protocols, requiring a leader who can design test standards, develop automated suites, and drive quality practices across engineering teams.
Develop comprehensive test plans, automated test suites, and QA standards aligned with product and technical requirements.
Oversee functional, regression, integration, and performance testing across multiple services and environments.
Provide mentorship and leadership to junior QA staff, elevating skills, processes, and testing methodologies.
Work alongside engineering teams to review architecture, service design, and code changes from a quality-first perspective.
Document defects, analyze patterns, and collaborate with developers to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
Establish best practices for quality assurance, automation, and validation processes to increase efficiency and consistency.
Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, drive transparency on test progress, and identify potential quality risks early.
Create and maintain reporting on test coverage, execution status, and quality metrics.
Stay informed on industry trends, evolving testing tools, automation frameworks, and emerging QA strategies.
Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or comparable experience in software development/testing.
5+ years of experience in QA engineering or test automation roles, with strong hands-on experience building automated test suites.
Must be located within the United States.
Background working with remote engineering teams across multiple time zones.
Experience with end-to-end automation frameworks (e.g., Cypress).
Proficiency with version control (Git), and familiarity with modern CI/CD pipeline workflows.
Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum development processes.
Ability to create integration and automation tests in JavaScript or Go.
Experience designing or maintaining testing frameworks for web-based or visualization-heavy applications.
Working understanding of JavaScript and Go is beneficial.
Knowledge of software lifecycle tools, continuous integration, and automated deployment processes.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to break down complex problems and propose actionable solutions.
Excellent communication skills for working with distributed teams and technical stakeholders.
