Description

Β 

Summary: Develop, debug, and support Automated Test Equipment (ATE) programs for digital, mixed‑signal, and RF integrated circuits and eventually (High Performance Compute) HPC devices leading to Co-Packaged Optics (CPO). Work closely with internal engineering teams and external customers to enable characterization, qualification, and high‑volume production test.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

Β 

  • Develop and debug ATE test programs using Advantest SmarTest 7/8 for digital, mixed‑signal, and RF devices (Teradyne also acceptable)
  • Collaborate with design, product, and customer engineering teams to define test strategies and coverage
  • Analyze device requirements and implement optimal test methodologies for characterization and production
  • Load, execute, and debug test programs; collect logs and perform yield and failure analysis
  • Perform silicon debug and root‑cause analysis using ATE tools and bench equipment
  • Support bring‑up and ongoing production test, including correlation and yield improvement
  • Manage tester‑to‑handler/prober communications and resolve interface issues

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

Β 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 1-5 years of experience in Test Engineer, Product Engineer, or related positions strongly preferred.

Β 

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:

Β 

  • Strong knowledge of digital (including high‑speed) and mixed‑signal device testing
  • General knowledge of RF, memory, and high‑speed I/O (e.g., PCIe, SerDes, Ethernet)
  • Knowledge of Silicon Photonics or theory of, will be a plus
  • Experience with data analysis and debug using tester logs and engineering tools
  • Programming/scripting experience: C/C++, Python, Perl (Java/VB optional)
  • Operating systems: Linux/UNIX and Windows

  • Tools: ATE systems, DVM, Oscilloscope, Soldering and Spectrum analyzer
  • Peripherals : wafer probers, Handlers a plus
