The Opportunity

Our client, a world leader in Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS), is seeking an experienced and dynamic Test Engineering Manager to lead a talented team in supporting the installation, optimization, and maintenance of cutting-edge automatic test equipment and test programs. This role is crucial for ensuring robust, high-quality testing solutions that drive the development of world-class products. You will play a key role in shaping the test manufacturing strategy, enhancing productivity, and delivering impactful results in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop and Execute Test Strategies: Lead the creation of production test strategies based on product design specifications.
• Test Plan Leadership: Design comprehensive test plans for customer products, including both hardware and software components.
• Optimize Test Processes: Improve test productivity by reducing cycle times and enhancing yield across multiple customer factories.
• Test Equipment Management: Oversee procurement, qualification, and installation of testing equipment for seamless production processes.
• Collaborate with Design Teams: Work closely with design engineers to optimize product testability, coverage, diagnosability, and user experience.
• Drive Problem-Solving Initiatives: Address complex issues related to product yield and test performance, applying your expertise to deliver solutions.
• Support Strategic Growth: Contribute to sales efforts by supporting the quoting process and providing technical input.
• Lead and Develop Your Team: Set goals, provide regular feedback, and drive team success by fostering a culture of excellence.
• Industry Leadership: Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and regulations to maintain competitive advantages.

What We’re Looking For:

• Education and Experience: A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and 7–10 years of relevant work in test engineering or manufacturing.
• Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience in functional/system/stress test operations, structural test operations, and advanced manufacturing technologies (e.g., ICT, RF testing, ESS hardware).
• Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Project Leadership: Experience managing cross-functional teams and supplier relationships for successful project execution.
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to optimize test processes with a focus on efficiency, yield, and scalability.

• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in key test systems and methodologies, including DFM, DFT, boundary scan, firmware development, and more.
