Duties & Responsibilities

  • Define and own the test strategy and test plan for the database migration, covering both reconciliation and transformation validation
  • Lead and coordinate the testing team and schedule across migration phases
  • Manage stakeholders including reporting on progress, risks and defects
  • Own entry/exit criteria and the go/no-go recommendation for migration cutover
  • Oversee data validation, verification and configuration testing activities

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Proven experience leading testing on database migration projects, ideally Oracle
  • Strong grasp of database migration testing concepts: reconciliation, completeness, and data integrity
  • Experience testing data transformation logic (validating that transformed data meets business rules), not just like-for-like reconciliation
  • Experience with configuration testing and validation/verification approaches
  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases (enough to direct the team and interrogate results)
  • Strong stakeholder management and reporting skills
