Test Manager
We're looking for an experienced Test Manager to lead the testing strategy, governance, and delivery across a complex enterprise program. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll shape the testing approach from day one, build testing capability, and ensure quality is embedded throughout the delivery lifecycle.

What You'll Be Doing

Lead Testing Strategy & Governance

  • Develop and maintain the overall Test Strategy, Test Plans and Quality Assurance Framework.
  • Define testing scope, environments, methodologies, entry and exit criteria across all testing phases.
  • Establish testing standards, governance processes, quality metrics and reporting frameworks.

Drive End-to-End Test Delivery

  • Lead all phases of testing including SIT, UAT, regression testing, production verification and release readiness.
  • Initially take a hands-on approach, developing test scenarios, test cases, scripts and supporting artefacts.
  • Coordinate testing activities across multiple teams, environments, integrations and vendors.
  • Manage defect triage, prioritisation, retesting and resolution tracking.
  • Monitor testing progress, identify risks and proactively address delivery challenges.
  • Support the transition from hands-on delivery to leadership as the testing team grows.

Partner with Stakeholders

  • Work closely with Program Managers, Product Owners, Architects, Engineers, Vendors and Business SMEs.
  • Drive UAT planning, execution and sign-off activities.
  • Provide clear and concise reporting to governance forums and program stakeholders.

Champion Quality

  • Embed quality assurance practices throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation, tooling and process improvements.
  • Establish and track quality metrics that provide visibility into program health.

Lead and Develop Teams

  • Build, coach and mentor testing resources across the program.
  • Foster a culture of quality, accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Provide leadership and direction to both internal and external testing teams.

What You'll Bring

  • Significant experience as a Test Manager within large-scale technology programs.
  • Strong experience across SIT, UAT, end-to-end, regression and release testing.
  • Experience leading testing for complex system integrations, APIs, data platforms and event-driven architectures.
  • Strong understanding of software delivery lifecycles, Agile delivery and quality assurance frameworks.
  • Experience working across internal teams, vendors and multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Proven ability to manage risks, defects, dependencies and release readiness activities.
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps or similar test management platforms.
  • Experience implementing or supporting test automation practices and pipelines.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
  • ISTQB Advanced Test Management certification (or equivalent) is highly regarded.
  • Telecommunications industry experience will be highly regarded.
