Test Manager

Introduction

Our client in Pretoria is recruiting for Test Manager (Advanced) to join their team.

Job Description

General Role Tasks:

Planning, coordination, and coordination of test activities.

Development and definition of test methods and test tools.

Building up and leading any topics related to testing the success of projects and the products maintenance area.

Defining the scope of testing within the context of each release / delivery.

Deploying and managing resources for testing.

Applying the appropriate test measurements and metrics in the product and the testing team.

Planning, deploying and managing the testing effort for any given engagement.

Test case design based on communication and collaboration with business departments.

Perform manual testing, implementation and documentation of automated tests (accessible for the client/third parties).

Definition of an integrated concept of manual and automated test cases together with the client headquarter test manager (automation and manual).

Strategic leadership for test automation.

Reporting of issues back to the development team.

Manage escalations related to testing and test progress.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications/Experience:

Relevant IT / Business Degree

5+ years’ experience

ISTQB Certification

Tricentis TOSCA Certification

Essential Skills Requirements:

Specific Technical / Functional skills:

Solid Test Management know-how and Agile methodologies.

Solid background with SAP Projects in the area of finance.

Transition of manual product tests towards an automated testing concept.

Test tools, Atlassian X-Ray.

Project systems, Atlassian Jira.

Any additional responsibilities assigned in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter.

Specific Technical / Functional skills:

  • Test automation tools (TOSCA).
  • SAP Modules SAP FI/CO, General Ledger, Asset Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Banking.

  • Flexibility to take up different tasks in the project.
  • Ability and willingness to coach and give training to fellow colleagues and users when required.

  • Ability to work interdependently as well as independently and to submit deliverables on time and with excellent quality.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills with the ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing) with both technical and non-technical colleagues / users.
  • Strong ability to understand and interpret business needs and requirements with an aptitude to move concepts through to proposal and successful implementation.
