Test Manager - Spatial Futures - GIS

Test Manager - (Utilities Sector) 
Location: Sydney, NSW 
Duration : 12 Months 
 
We are seeking an experienced Test Manager to join a large, complex program of work, leading the testing function across a major GIS centric initiative. This role is suited to a hands on test leader who has successfully managed testing teams within enterprise environments and who understands the challenges of delivering change across integrated technology landscapes. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Lead end-to-end testing activities across complex programs and multiple releases. 
• Design and implement cost-effective, business-aligned testing strategies that improve productivity and reduce overall costs. 
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical testing outcomes into business focused insights. 
• Manage testing resources and budgets, reporting progress and forecasts to project leadership. 
• Oversee the administration and maintenance of testing scripts across all phases (unit, integration, system, UAT, performance, and release). 

• Strong experience in creating and presenting detailed reporting (quality, cost, schedule) to senior management. 
• Extensive GIS experience, preferably with GE Smallworld, or other enterprise GIS platforms (such as ESRI ArcGIS or similar)  
• Prior involvement in a GIS platform upgrade or major transformation will be highly regarded 
• Solid experience leading SIT and UAT test cycles in enterprise environments. 
• Strong understanding of testing within integrated system landscapes, including data flows and interface validation. 
• ISTQB Advanced Test Manager certification 
• Proven leadership experience managing teams of 5 or more 

• Experience with SAP CR&B (IS-U/CRM). 
• Knowledge of S/4 HANA. 
• Understanding of release management processes. 
• Experience with HP UFT for test automation. 
• Exposure to Agile methodologies.
