JOB TITLE: QA MANAGER

SECTOR: OIL & GAS

JOB PURPOSE:

The QA Manager is directly responsible for defining and managing the QA Strategy and risks associated with company's operations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Implementing, maintaining and continually improving the company's Quality Management Systems.
Developing and leading the operation and promotion of an integrated management system, encompassing a proactive improvement culture in QMS.
Reporting on the performance of the QMS at Management review meetings.
Ensuring the effective achievement of the company's QMS objectives and subsequent KPI's.
Respond to customer complaints and provide technical assistance suggesting remedial measures.
Specify and implement corrective and preventative action.
Preparing Quality plans, Inspection test plans, and inspection schedules for various projects to comply with client's project requirements.
Managing QMS compliance (legal and client's requirements) and implementing industry's best practices
Managing the monitoring, measurement, and review of internal processes, especially those that affect the quality of the organization's products.
Undertaking QA planning, including the setting of goals, agreeing priorities, and establishing adequate systems for performance management.
Promoting customer requirements and the company's QA culture.
Managing the company's risk and opportunities assessment process with all process owners.
Assisting in the delivery of comprehensive operational technical training to promote, develop and sustain a positive quality awareness culture throughout business operations,
Management of QA processes for subcontractors, suppliers,
and service providers.
Management of client relationships and expectations relevant to the job role. Maintaining formal and informal communications with clients, sub-contractors and partners.
Developing annual budgets for QA department.

Reviewing technical requisitions and procurement documents for QA compliance.

Assisting Project Managers in recruiting QA resources for their projects.
Implementation of behavior-based safety culture.
Pro-active QA support during tender processes.
Interfacing with all relevant QA Authorities.
Legislative compliance, ensuring that all QA aspects of the business are conducted in accordance with all relevant statutory requirements and Codes of Practice.
Conducting integrated QA audits of corporate processes and operational projects

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT:

Master's degree in Engineering, Science or any related field.
Membership of a relevant professional body
Relevant training and certification (any of NEBOSH, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISPON, IOSH, IISRSM, OSH Academy, NSC, etc.)

+12 years' QA experience with minimum of 5 years in managerial position.
Administrative skills including proficiency in typical MS Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Working knowledge of and experience in QA Management Systems e.g., QMS ISO 9001, EMS ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
