We are seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer in KrakΓ³w, Poland. This is a Hybrid work position, and individual will be required to report into our KrakΓ³w, Office 2-3 days per week.
As a Senior QA Automation Engineer you will help drive quality across our distributed SaaS ecosystem. You will build and maintain automated test suites, strengthen our CI/CD pipelines, and ensure our systems are robust, scalable, and reliable.
This is a handsβon engineering role within a modern, collaborative team focused on continuous improvement, transparency, and delivering highβimpact products.
What You'll Do:
Manual & Exploratory Testing
- Execute manual test cases for UI, API, and endβtoβend user workflows.
- Perform exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and user-impacting defects.
- Document clear, reproducible bug reports and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
- Validate business requirements and user acceptance criteria through handsβon testing.
Automation Engineering
- Develop and maintain automated tests for UI, API, microservices, and integration layers.
- Contribute to scalable, reusable automation frameworks stored in GitHub.
- Create validations for distributed systems, serviceβtoβservice interactions, queues, and API contracts.
Quality Ownership
- Work closely with developers and product partners to understand story details and test requirements.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure reliable execution.
- Support exploratory, UAT, and endβtoβend testing for userβfocused scenarios.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Participate in code reviews, GitHub workflows, and team automation practices.
- Engage in team learning sessions and internal quality improvement initiatives.
- Contribute ideas to improve testing approaches and overall product quality.
What You Bring:
Core Skills
- 3β5 years of handsβon experience in QA automation or test engineering.
- Familiarity with writing test cases, test plans, and defect documentation.
- Understanding of functional testing, regression testing, and userβflow validation
- Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript for test automation.
- Understanding of WebdriverIO and/or Playwright.
- Proven ability to automate UI, API, and integration scenarios.
- Familiar with BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or similar cloud platforms.
Tooling & Engineering Basics
- Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
- Basic understanding of REST APIs and modern web technologies (HTML, CSS, DOM).
- Awareness of CI/CD principles is beneficial.
Data & Application Knowledge
- Ability to write and understand basic SQL queries.
- Good understanding of modern web technologies (HTML, CSS, DOM).
